This gang of thugs operates in the underworld, but according to fairly reliable sources (but who, exactly?), their tentacular, mafia-like structure also reaches the highest circles of power in Kaolin. Needless to say, coming face to face with them when stepping off a train or a junk is never a good sign, even though these brutes most often take advantage of the city’s thick fumes to hide and settle their scores.
Their weapons? For reasons of intimidation and personal perverse pleasure, they prefer bladed weapons over traditional rifles and pistols (with the exception of Blue Lip Kobayashi).
Some claim that the Purple Gang follows a specific internal code of honor, which greatly amuses sociologists, who believe that nothing but animal instinct and sociopathy can explain their behavior.
From left to right: Long Neck Langlin, Qiang Four Eyes aka the Boss, Big Jaw Tsunagoro, and Blue Lip Kobayashi.
